Welcome home.

Hekayyatna

Hekayyatna is building community, one story at a time. Through curated events and client productions, we bring together communities across the SWANA region and diaspora to explore the big questions shaping our lives today — from justice, language, and belonging, to identity, memory, and migration.

What is friendship made of?

Do connections differently.

Hekayyatna means our stories’ in Arabic.

Our monthly events are immersive and participatory: part workshop, part conversation, part salon. Think community brainstorms guided by discussions, guest speakers, and shared curiosity. We work with venues, organisations, and educational institutions to bring their work to life in a new and engaging way.

Some past events include topics like: How does language shape our sense of belonging in cities? Can we find justice? What is the heritage & history of coffee?

A combined ten years of award-winning production experience

Do storytelling differently.

We make captivating audio and video productions that bring overlooked stories to life. With over a decade of experience producing award-winning episodes in both Arabic and English, we have uncovered fascinating stories as we explore SWANA and the wider Global Majority.
